Who we are

This policy covers meirya.com, operated by Meirya Management INC. It does not cover our online store at shop.meirya.com, which runs on Shopify under its own policies — see “Leaving this site” below.

What we collect

We do not sell anything on this website and we do not ask you to create an account. There are four ways information reaches us.

• Newsletter signup. Your email address, when you submit it. Nothing else — the form has one field.
• Distributor inquiries. Your name, company name, email address, message, and your phone number if you choose to give one. The phone field is optional.
• Store locator. If you press the “use my location” control, your browser asks your permission and then gives us your approximate coordinates. We use them to sort nearby stockists and we do not store them — they live in the page until you close it. You can instead type a city or ZIP code, which never involves your device location. Denying the permission leaves the rest of the locator fully usable.
• Server logs. Like any website, ours records IP addresses, browser user agents, requested pages and timestamps.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21, and this site is age-gated at 21+.

Cookies

This site sets one cookie, meirya_age_verified. It records that you confirmed you are 21 or older so we do not ask again on every page, and it lasts 365 days. It is strictly necessary for a function you asked for and it carries no identifier that we can trace back to you.

We run no advertising cookies, no analytics, and no third-party tracking pixels. If that changes, this section changes with it — and in jurisdictions that require consent for non-essential cookies, we will ask before setting them.

How we use what we collect

• To send you the newsletter you asked for, until you unsubscribe.
• To reply to a distributor or trade inquiry you sent us.
• To show you stockists near a location you gave us.
• To keep the site running, secure and free of automated abuse.
• To meet legal obligations, including age-verification requirements.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

Who else sees it

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do pass it to the service providers that make the site work:

• Resend. Delivers distributor inquiry emails to us and stores newsletter subscribers as a mailing audience. Name, company, email address, phone number and message content.
• OpenFreeMap / OpenMapTiles. Serves the base map and its fonts for the store locator. Loading a map sends the visitor's IP address to this provider. IP address and the map tiles requested.
• Our hosting provider. Serves the site and keeps standard server logs. IP address, user agent, pages requested and timestamps.
• Shopify. Operates the separate online store at shop.meirya.com. We do not sell anything on this site; following a product link hands the visitor to Shopify, where Shopify's and the store operator's policies apply instead of ours. Whatever the visitor provides on that domain. Nothing is passed from this site.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter subscribers — until you unsubscribe, plus a short suppression record so we do not accidentally re-add you.
• Distributor inquiries — for as long as the business relationship or conversation is live, and then as our records obligations require.
• Location coordinates — not retained at all.
• Server logs — for a short operational window.

Your choices and rights

Every newsletter we send carries an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. You can also email us to unsubscribe.

Depending on where you live — California in particular, under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA — you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising any of those rights. To make a request, email info@meirya.com. We will verify your request by replying to the address we hold, and we will respond within the time the law allows.

We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.

Leaving this site

Product links on this site open our store on a different domain, shop.meirya.com, which is operated on Shopify. Once you are there, this policy no longer applies — that store’s own privacy policy and terms govern what happens to anything you enter, including any purchase. The same goes for our social media profiles and for any other outside site we link to. We do not pass your information from this site to that one.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect information in transit and at rest, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged more prominently.
